Thanksgiving Table Styling Guide

If you’re hosting this Thanksgiving, you’ve come to the right place for tablescape inspiration. I enjoy teaching my clients how to create a centerpiece for their festive fall soiree. Enhancing my clients dining area aesthetic & set a tone for their gathering to serve, as the backdrop for a fabulous Thanksgiving meal is everything. The key to showcasing your hosting personality, starts with items you already own then adding curated accessories to create an inviting cozy fall ambiance.

Brass, gold & copper....with its warm color tone and gentle sheen makes a perfect choice for an effortlessly inviting Thanksgiving tablescape. A member of the brown family, sophisticated metallics like brass & copper lends a sense of strength and rustic sophistication to a look. I love pairing dark dish ware with copper accents for understated elegance and during the fall it gives a distinct seasonal edge. To play up the warm and inviting vibe, you can also incorporate natural elements like wooden candlesticks, organic cotton napkins and a centerpiece full of lush, natural greens and fall florals in calming cream, taupe or khaki.

A timeless and elegant choice for any gathering, a black tablescape will embue your Thanksgiving table with a sense of modern sophistication. For a warm yet formal vibe, pair black dishware with contrasting white accents and gold flatware. Natural elements like fresh garland and juniper cuttings lend a touch of life and holiday charm to a luxurious Thanksgiving meal.

Add dry foliage or flowers to enhance + highlight fall vibes + aesthetics.

Lean into the season with a sophisticated and autumnal Thanksgiving tablescape. For an elegant foundation, pair dark, minimalistic dishware with brushed gold accents. To highlight that traditional fall harvest aesthetic, choose a centerpiece with natural elements like wheat, pampas grass and dry foliage. With warm earth tones like rust, clay and terracotta, you’ll create the perfect comfy-cozy vibe to encourage a Thanksgiving feast full of laughter and meaningful connection. Glassware with interesting details like etched glass or playful embellishment add texture and visual interest. The result is a truly elevated take on traditional fall décor.

Neutrals + whites paired with strong black accents gives an effortless contrast...

Neutrals and whites paired with strong black makes for an effortlessly swanky vibe. Start with crisp white table linens and add black-rimmed dinner plates for striking and dramatic contrast. The result is a modern metropolitan atmosphere with a distinctly expensive feel. Black flatware and candlesticks are effortlessly chic, while simple and unassuming glassware allows your black eucalyptus centerpiece to take center stage.

Muted earth tones with brass + gold for that effortless boho Thanksgiving.

For a chance to play with color in a whimsical but sophisticated way, opt for a Boho Glam Thanksgiving. Begin with linens in muted earth tones like sage, rust and taupe. Rich terracotta dinnerware completes the foundation for this warm and grounded aesthetic, while bright white candlesticks add a dash of modern freshness. Keep it neutral with white or cream taper candles or make a splash with candles in calming blues or feminine blush tones. For a truly bohemian centerpiece, fill a vase with an artfully colorful arrangement of dried wheat, fall florals and pampas grass.
